How to submit
- Create an account and complete your profile: institution, author category and phone number.
- Submit your abstract from your dashboard. An editor checks that it fits the journal's scope.
- When the abstract is approved, upload the full manuscript and a blinded PDF. Please do this within 21 days.
- The manuscript is screened. If it passes, you pay the registration fee and it goes to peer review.
- You receive the reviewers' comments with the editor's decision. For a revision, answer each point and upload the revised files.
- After acceptance you pay the publication fee, if it applies, and the paper is published online.
Your dashboard shows where your paper is at every step, and we email you whenever it is your turn.
The abstract
- Title of 10 to 300 characters.
- Abstract of 250 to 300 words.
- 3 to 8 keywords.
- Subject area and article type: original research, review article, short communication or case study.
- Up to 20 co-authors, each with name, email, affiliation and, if they have one, ORCID iD.
- A cover letter and declarations: the work is original and not under review elsewhere, any conflict of interest, how AI tools were used, and the ethics approval reference where the research needs one.
The manuscript
- Full manuscript as .docx, .doc, .pdf, .tex or .zip, up to 25 MB.
- A blinded PDF, required with every manuscript and every revision. Remove the authors' names, affiliations, acknowledgements, funding details and anything else that identifies the authors, including self-citations written in the first person. Reviewers see only this file.
Screening
Every manuscript is checked for similarity to published work, for AI-generated content, for language and for references before peer review. The current limits are:
- Similarity to published work: at most 15%
- AI-generated content: at most 10%
If the screening report asks for changes, revise the manuscript and upload it again with a new blinded PDF. You can read the report in your dashboard.
Revisions
Answer every reviewer point in the response box for that point, then upload the revised manuscript, a new blinded PDF and a file with tracked changes (.docx, .doc or .pdf).
Fees
The registration fee is due after screening and the publication fee after acceptance. See the fees page for the amounts in each author category.
Ethics
Please read the journal's publication ethics and AI-use policy before you submit.
